Liberal Arts and Innovation

I was going to submit the graduation thesis paper by writing in the program code."The world is processable." It was my intuitive conviction which became my starting point.To perceive the structure of the world as something programable gives us open and fluid perspective.

For instance, imagine all books are processable. What if the logical structure of each book can be added, subtracted, multiplied and divided?　Think human ideas and images like the Lego block which can be exchanged mutually and rearranged rather than thing which is subjectively store in the brain.This means you see every event as the event in the state of under construction.

View on Augmented reality is related to such a processable worldview. Airtag of Sekai Camera allows you to comment on the reality in front of you. It enables you to read and write on the surrounding environment like the book with written notes.

The idea that the environment where we live in is readable and writable might trigger dramatic change in our perception on the world. It is because of three reasons as below.

(1) Openess anyone can participate.
(2) variableness it can reflect change anytime.
(3) interactiveness It influences mutually each other.

The network used to be viewed through telecommunication model that people are divided in the separate rooms. Along with the appearance of the web, we recognized it as a net of meshes like "Cobweb". In the 2010's, it obtained liveness and socialnness and developed as the network streaming more in live.

Augmented reality Interface brought so called perspective search, "environment that wraps the scope of your view with a net of information meshes" even though it is still immature. It can be said it is shaping new web experience, ambient stream which can be defined as "social web lifestreams according to the change in locational information"

The new Internet arising now is thus big movement which will change our perspective on the world. It is further evolution of the flow that the encyclopedia and the dictionary underwent and transfigured into the Wikepedia and Google. On that new context, visible things will be always annotated, rewritten a definition, given a new interpretation and the evaluation and change the aspect and view dynamically.

The criteria to judge the existence is no longer whether it is physically invariable or not. (Ancient Greek believed that perfect existence is something that does not change.) It is also not whether it is recognizable or not. (Modern Philosophy claimed the condition for existence is something recognized with 5 senses) It is whether there is a possibility of an interaction or not.
In other words, existence is the state of being interactive, and it is applicable to even if it is on virtual space.

Interactiveness is proof of existence. This idea is processable world which is based on the coexistence of rewritable and diverse world view. That is the reason I think Liberal Arts (Human science) is vital for technological innovation.

How human idea and images are projected to the world and how to processed them in order to support person's social behavior ? How to design the information environment that enable to read, interpret, write, and influence mutually? I think this problem should be solved from human science approach rather than taking it as a pure technological problem.
